Windows Vista includes Windows Defender, a real-time spyware monitor embedded within the operating system. Windows Defender, which works with Internet Explorer 7, is designed to scan, block and remove unwanted software. In particular, it scans downloaded files before they are saved and executed, to help reduce the chance that spyware might be installed accidentally.
